Founded in 2024, Minerva Genomics aims to empower individuals and families to understand their genetic risk factors, which are best understood in addition to their family's medical history and lifestyle factors.
About Elan Bechor
Graduating from the University of Chicago, where he was one of 5 winners of the Paul Cohen award for top graduating seniors in mathematics, Elan completed his PhD in 2017 from UC Berkeley in the same field.
Since then he has focused his career on the study of polygenic risk scores applied to human health and fertility. At Genomic Prediction, he helped build the first PGT-P report. At MyOme, he helped write a patent for the use of polygenic risk scores. He has also worked for Orchid Health, helping incorporate both genetic risk and family risk factors into their reports.
